Stampin' Up! 09 Convention swaps & news

Last weekend the Aus & NZ '09 SUp! Convention was held in Canberra. I didn't go ... but luckily my team leader, Liz, was happy to help me out & I sent along some swaps - these are projects swapped between other demonstrators. It is a wonderful way to get ideas, see different colour schemes, stamp sets & techniques - These are the swaps I got in return. Some demonstrators made 50 swaps... wow

Brilliant news... Liz was awarded the Heart of Stampin' Up! award - this is a really special award & Liz is a wonderful person, I am very happy for her.

May weekend and Bookmark card

This is where I spent my May long weekend... it was pretty tough, but someone had to do it!

----------

Bookmark card

The idea of this card is a gift & card in one ....

slip out the bookmark gift...

& then you have bookmark & card!

I used Playful Petals stamp set (thanks for the loan Kate!!)
& Sincere Salutations.
Cardstock used: Confetti White, Old Olive, More Musturd & Ruby Red. Vanila grosgrain ribbon, Aqua Painter & Dazzling diamonds ... glitter... yah!

Surprises - Raspberry Tart DSP part 2

Gift Box Album

The hardest thing about the lid is making the ribbon flower on top! It is ok if you have about 4 hands, ha ha, or some paper clips would suffice :-) Then you open the lid & ......

Gift Box Album (inside)

Of-course it will look more impressive when I put the photos in! There are pockets, journalling slips, mini cards & enough room to put up to 14 photos inside ... this is the perfect gift!

--------
Below is a Pop Up Accordian card

I had a lot of fun making this as well, it is something I hadn't tried before but as I love pottering in the garden.....
... I made this special little flower patch to pop up & say hello! I have used the One of A Kind stamp set & matching Boho Blossoms punch, also the 5 petal flower punch. Again staying with the Rapberry Tart Designer Series Paper theme & co-ordinating cardstock, ribbon & inks.

Boxes and Card with a plus

Explosion Box Card (inside)

Last weekend I went away for a girlie scrapbooking weekend with my very good friend ... bliss! It was very relaxing & while I didn't get a single photo 'scrapped' I did complete these wonderful projects. I could not have achieved this at home - too many interruptions!

I chose to use our double sided 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper "Raspberry Tart" & colour co-ordinated with our textured cardstock... add some bling & wow! I am really happy with the end result.

Explosion Box all together.
--------
Below is an Origami box

This is really easy as there is no cutting, no measuring just folding.....
I have used the Kiwi Kiss Striped Grosgrain Ribbon & an accent from the Styled Silver Hodgepodge set & Half Pearl from our Pretties Kit.
-------
& at the end of the weekend when I had lots of scraps left over I then made this
Serendipity Card

I then used the Priceless stamp set & white Tafetta ribbon & Dazzling Diamonds... I love glitter. By the end of the weekend I was covered in it!

I was amazed at how little Designer Series Paper from the pack was actually used to complete all of these projects. I had a great weekend!

So if you would like to see any of these projects up close then I would be happy to come & demonstrate this at your next workshop.
