New Mini Catalogue card sample & Spots

Did you know that the Stampin' Spots can be used for more than just inking stamps? The background here was made twisting my Rich Regals spots directly onto Whisper White cardstock. The colour combinations are endless.

These two cards are made using the new Parisian Breeze Specialty & Ski Slope Designer Series Papers, new ribbon, Scallop Oval punch & Oval All & Gallery stamp sets available in the new Mini Catalogue. We made them at the last monthly Demonstrator meeting. Aren't they absolutely gorgeous.

While this beautiful creation was made using Whisper White card stock & Riding Hood Red Designer Series Paper. You can see there are places for photos, letter or sentiments to be added.

Photos of Techniques Class

Above are the cards we made at the Techniques Class & my lovely guests.

Techniques Class / Shoebox event
On the 18th July I held a class (above), there were 10 lovely people who came. Everyone made 8 cards, incorporated into these 8 projects were techniques such as Water Colouring, Sponging, Rocking & Rolling, Masking, Kissing, Ghosting, Chalk Boarding & more. We used lots of tools: crimper, brayer, stamp positioner, Aqua Painting, etc. Amazingly nobody needed valium when they left smiling & no one threw anything at me either!! It was a lot of fun.

Thank you to all for making the afternoon so enjoyable!!! I have already been asked to run another one.... so if there is a technique or tool you'd love to know how to use, or if you'd like to get some friends together & have me run this class again, then please let me know & I'll see what (& when) I can organise something.

Touching base again ... :-)

I have been rather busy of late so my poor blog has been sadly neglected. Below is an entry that shows you a little of what I have been up to ... I am certainly not complaining, I'm having a lot of fun!!!

All the best to you

Kind regards

Jen x

I have "borrowed" this entry entirely from my papercarft manager, Liz's, blog who is such a lovely supportive person. Liz has said it all so well ...Thank you Liz & thank you Jerry for a really nice day.

St Pauls Manly Market Day

Just over a year ago I was asked if I would contribute a stall/display at St Paul's Market Day. One of the lovely things that happened that day was that my friend and fellow demonstrator Jen met Jerry, one of the local parishioners, who then joined our 'Paper Angels' Group of Independent Stampin Up Demonstrators. This year Jen, Jerry and I worked together on the St Paul's Market Day. One of the absolute highlights of this day is the very professional 'sidewalk cafe' known as 'Pauls on Ernest', which serves everything from professional coffee, delicious gourmet breakfasts and delicious handmade cakes. Jerry went to so much effort making the fabulous table numbers, decorating them with stamping and messages inviting people to come and make a complimentary card with us.

St Pauls had a fabulous display of historic Christening Gowns which was very special as well as displays and a fashion parade of wedding gowns over the years. Other attractions included the local school band, Caprice Dancers and of course complimentary Stampin Up Make & Takes. I was able to snap some photos of Jerry and Jen showing how easy and fun stamping is. The wonderful thing was that we had a great range of people stop by and we really enjoyed sharing the cute little card we had all come up with for our make & take.

The rector of St Paul's, Canon Keith Colbert, is quite a character (clearly loved by all the parishioners) and has a way with words. In his welcome flyer he noted 'Fetes are occasions to buy goodies not usually available anywhere else. Proper Coconut Ice and Fudge, padded coat hangers and rag dolls, are not common in the shops, but what would life be without them?' Indeed, there is something comforting about finding these traditional items, which like hand stamped cards, remind us of the enjoyment of simple pleasures. Thank you Jerry and Jen for all your hard work and inviting me along - it was a lovely morning.

This beautiful cupcake display is one you can admire completely guilt free ... Liz made these cupcakes from cardstock & Our Designer Series Papers ... aren't they gorgeous?!

even though my photography is a bit sad this littel card is happy! If you would like to enlarge the image you will notice that the lower half has a scoring feature. Can you see how the rolled & sewn cardstock on the right matches in with the ribbon?
